every chance they get. They seem completely oblivious on the negative consequences of “open borders,” which is the main reason why so many
Republicans/Conservatives are aghast by their flippant remarks.
Lately, AOC has taken it upon herself, to be the spokesperson for illegals, not only those currently residing in this country, but also those who are
being detained at U.S. Border Camps. Like the New York Post stated in a recent article, AOC is the main star in “border theater,” a contrived plot
by Democrats, to blame the border crisis on the Trump administration, while ignoring the fact that illegal immigrants are coming to our border in
AOC has a great gift for theater, as in her claim that detained women are forced to drink from toilets — which apparently refers to standard
plumbing units for these facilities, which hold both a sink and toilet.
This was almost as inspired as her stunt last fall, getting photographed with tears while supposedly viewing kids held in cages — when a
wider shot revealed that she was actually looking at an empty lot.
Back in July 2018, President Obama’s former Department of Homeland Security chief, Jeh Johnson, stated that abolishing ICE would be a bad idea.
“Abolish ICE” makes for a good rallying cry on the left. Demanding the abolition of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency also
provides President Trump with a useful weapon for bludgeoning Democrats politically.
…the outright abolition of ICE would compromise public safety. ICE is a law-enforcement agency. It consists of essentially two
components: enforcement and removal operations, or ERO, and homeland security investigations, or HSI, which is dedicated to the investigation of
cross-border crimes such as smuggling dangerous drugs and contraband, the theft of intellectual property, child pornography and human trafficking.
Today, Jeh Johnson warns that the concept of open borders is “unworkable, unwise and does not have the support of a majority of American people or
the Congress.” He also stated that, “Chain link barriers, partitions, fences, cages — whatever you want to call them — were not invented on
January 2017.” Why did he state this? Because, detention centers for illegal migrants were built while Johnson was DHS chief for the Obama
Homan (Barack Obama’s former ICE chief, Thomas Homan), at the conference hosted by the Center for Immigration Studies, said, “I would
answer the question,‘The kids are being housed in the same facility built under the Obama administration.’ If you want to call them cages,
call them cages. But if the left wants to call them cages and the Democrats want to call them cages then they have to accept the fact that they were
built and funded in FY 2015.”
Just another example of how the Democrats want to spin the truth, in order to make Trump and his administration look bad.
An Obama-era Department of Homeland Security chief is warning Democratic presidential candidates to cool their push to decriminalize
illegal border crossings, saying such a move would be tantamount to “open borders” policy and lead to hundreds of thousands more people
flooding into the U.S. every month.
Johnson, meanwhile, has also pushed back on the controversy surrounding the Trump administration’s use of detention centers for migrants.
On Friday, he said that chain link fences or “cages” weren’t ideal, but were one of the ways authorities are forced to cope with the surge of
migrants crossing the border, and that the alternative was putting them “on the streets.”
Today, Obama DHS chief blasts Dems’ ‘open borders’ push, warns migration would explode:
Back in 2014, Jeh Johnson warned immigrants (as acting DHS chief) that, “you will be detained and you will be deported” if you try to illegally
cross the U.S. – Mexican border! Isn’t funny how the Democrats didn’t protest this back in the day?
